Thanks all for a RELAXING stay by night. Liked the rooms, they were recently renovated with good view. The breakfast was varied and above average and all the food was outstanding. Perfect location for visiting restaurants and bars really close to the hotel.

Good pick for a couple of nights in Takayama with great value. The onsen was fantastic. Make sure to check the onsen hours, as it closes during the day.

Enjoyed a lovely room and the tranquil on-site onsen, which was a unique experience for a first-timer. The rooms could really benefit from a refresh. Dining was decent but not really good during our visit. It's a solid choice in Takayama.

I loved this hotel. We stayed in one of the luxury rooms which was a very affordable price (around $200 a night for a twin room). The room was big with comfortable beds, a lot of closet space and a nice bathroom. The hotel offers a selection of lovely indoor and outdoor onsen with all the amenities. It is well-located, between the HIda folk village and town. You can walk to everything but the hotel also provides frequent rides to/from the train station and to the morning market. The hotel has numerous restaurants and an enormous gift and food shop. The hotel feels like it's from another era, but is very well-maintained, beautifully clean, and has all the modern conveniences. No wifi, but lan connection and cable provided.

Our stay was fantastic! The onsen was a highlight, with such relaxing pools and even a variety of amenities. The Japanese-style room was cool and spacious. And that very nice breakfast buffet blew us away!

The hotel is just a short walk (or shuttle ride) from the town center. Staff were 100% courteous, accommodating and helpful. Rooms and facilities were first class.

It is clean and comfortable.
Everything in the room is in Japanese - I don't think they really cater for non-Japanese guests E.G. hotel information is in Japanese and all the tv channels are as well. The only thing in English is the terms and conditions of contract! It is also quite pricey.

This hotel was great with its immaculate rooms and fine mountain views. Conveniently located, just a short stroll to morning markets, the Onsen was a rejuvenating treat. A surprise cake for my friend's daughter was the cherry on top. A rewarding experience I would gladly repeat!
